AMAZON PREPARES TO OPEN THE SECOND "CASHIER-FREE" STORE
Amazon, an e-commerce and cloud computing company, seems to have decided to set up the chain without a cashier. The giant company which opened its first "cashier-free" store in early 2018 is planning to open its new store in Seattle soon. The new store is expected to be twice as big as the first one. In this type of cashier-free store, customers can enter after scanning their phones at the entrance. Then, thanks to Amazon sensors and cameras, it can track which product customers are looking for and purchasing. These stores which are expected to increase gradually may annihilate the cashier profession in the coming years. The fact that technology is developing day by day does not apply only the cashier profession but many more. And it is now closer than ever to make up many different professions workable without the need of manpower.
